ROADMAP
The Drive roadmap
Everything we intend to build, in order, with the reasoning behind it. Dates are intentions, not promises — when they move, we say so here.
Early Birds can push items up this list through the community wishlist. Last revised: September 2026.
Everyday basics
The features that make Drive feel like a drive. All files currently live in one flat, sortable list — this milestone ends that.
- Folders — create, move, copy and rename.
- Search and filters — find files by name and type, not just by sorting columns.
- A wastebasket — deleted files become restorable. Today deleting is final, and we ask first.
- Bulk actions — select many files and act on all of them at once.
Safety nets
The unglamorous features that make an account trustworthy for everyday life.
- Password reset — self-service recovery. Until it ships, keep your password safe; we can't restore it.
- Two-factor authentication — a second lock on the door.
- Email notifications — shares and invites announce themselves. Today you pass links on by hand.
Encryption by default
Every file individually encrypted before it leaves your browser, with keys only you control. The setting is already visible in your storage options; the machinery behind it is in active development. We won't market guarantees before they're real — that's why this page exists.
Opening the network
The heart of the dream. Independent node providers join the closed, private storage network, and capacity grows beyond our own servers. Automatic contracts on a blockchain govern what providers store and promise — so reliability is enforced by the system, not by trust in any single company. Providers hold encrypted pieces they cannot read.
Teams
Shared team folders, groups and roles, and admin control — so small companies and families can run a shared space with clear responsibilities.
Live operation
Early access ends. Full plans and full storage arrive — and every Early Bird discount earned during this phase applies to your subscription.
